Description
The A&S 100 Eco air purifier offers two types of medical-grade filtration: the HEPA 13 filter, recommended by ANSES (French National Health Agency) and HCSP (High Council for Public Health), combined with high-density activated carbon filters, and the HEPA 14 + high-density activated carbon filter.
The Eco H14 filter pack consists of two filters:
- A medical-grade HEPA filter, level H14 (EN1822 standard), meaning it filters 99.995% of ultrafine particles present in your indoor air. An ultrafine particle is a particle measuring up to 0.1 microns, which is approximately 1/40th the diameter of a human hair.
- An activated carbon filter that acts on VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and odors present in the air by adsorbing them.
The difference between a HEPA13 filter with its high efficiency of 99.95% and a HEPA14 filter with its very high efficiency of 99.995% may seem small, but in reality, it's a factor of 1 to 10.
HEPA14 filters only allow 5 ultrafine particles per liter of air to pass through, while HEPA13 filters allow 50.
The action of these different filters eliminates biological and chemical pollutants, thus protecting you and improving the quality of the air you breathe.
The Eco filter pack also includes a catalytic grid which, if desired, enables photocatalysis in conjunction with a UV lamp. This process mineralizes biological and chemical pollutants.
